Provides for the health care needs of patients, under indirect supervision of a Physician, through advanced assessment and identification of health states including abnormal conditions, diagnosing, treatment, and evaluation. Utilizes evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the supervising Physician to provides direct clinical services for patients according to established protocols. Acts independently to perform individual assessments, diagnostic functions,... specialized risk assessments, and make critical decisions regarding a wide variety of health situations, including high risk and crisis situations. Acquires patient health histories and evaluates patient, performing physical examinations. Orders, performs, and interprets lab and diagnostic imaging studies.
